Consignment Process

Being a mom can be hard!

We are busy taking kids to school events, doctors appointments, play dates, and extra-curricular activites and that is all before 5pm!!

You work hard to dress your kids in cute and trendy or timeless classic fashions and when they inevitably grow out of them you want to re-coup some of that cash!

Consigning with Village Kids is the easiest way to empty the closests and fill your wallets!

What is consignment you ask?
True consignment means that you continue to own your items during their consignment period. After any item sells, your share of the sale is available any time we are open.
We have built our consignment process with the busy mom in mind!
We offer our consignors a luxury consignment process:
1) No appointments necessary. Please plan enough time for us to review your items while you wait.
2) No ironing necessary (We steam all items)
3) No hangers are necessary (we use our own)
4) Receive your cash/check or use store credit anytime
Consignors receive 40% of the Final selling price for their items and 60% for the final selling price of Matilda jane clothing items.

How to prepare your consignment:

•Items must be freshly laundered (within the past 7 days).

•Items must be spot-Free, damage-free, odor-Free and be in marketable condition.

•Items are preferred laid flat in a laundry basket, rubbermaid style container or handled shopping bag.

•Place outfits together (please do not pin items together). Incomplete sets are discouraged under size 18 months.

•Please button all buttons, snap all snaps and zip all zippers so items are easier to hang and process quickly.

•Shoes must be clean. For tips on cleaning shoes, please see our FAQ Page.

Donating the clothing that was either not accepted for consignment or did not sell during consignment period goes to help families in need right here in the Grand Rapids area for free and a tax slip is available for you!
